Developing a Well-Rounded Professional

Our Regional Conference, “Developing a Well-Rounded Professional,” will explore the public relations industry from a variety of disciplines and perspectives. Public relations is relevant to different industries because many organizations work to develop relationships with multiple audiences. Our Conference will explore the variety of routes that students can take when considering a career in public relations.

We will be working with a mix of current industry professionals, along with members of our college faculty, many of whom are former practitioners, on sessions related to different specializations within public relations, such as sports, food, government and financial.

The conference is open to the public.

About Marist PRSSA 

The Marist Red Foxes PRSSA Chapter was founded in 2006 and became one of only 17 colleges and universities in New York State to earn this recognition. Now in its eighth year, it has grown into a Chapter of more than 80 members. Events such as guest speakers, informational panels and skill-building workshops are held throughout the semester to help foster a clear understanding of the public relations industry and prepare members for life after graduation. Members can also take advantage of joining the event planning committee, working on the Chapter’s on-campus publication EsPResso, becoming part of the student-run firm North Road Communications or running for leadership positions within the Chapter.
